How did this get started?

Well first, I was flipping through Twitter and saw this:

@FatboyRoberts: General Rule of Thumb: Anyone who responds to a mention of muppets with “eh,” “Meh” or “Bleh” is a person you should shun, and shun HARD.

Which prompted a vehement response from Scott Rogers:

BigScotty: Shun? You should smite them.

FatboyRoberts: I’m a hugger not a smiter

BigScotty: @FatboyRoberts Fine. Point ‘em out. I gots my shovel.

Now here I come, shooting MY mouth off:

Verso: @FatboyRoberts but it’s MUPPETS!!! if ever there were a call for smiting it would be to “meh” at Muppets. I’m with @bigscotty here.

FatboyRoberts: @verso @bigscotty - but what would Kermit say? Or Fozzie? Do you wanna disappoint them with your Conan-style smiting? Piggy’d be down, tho.

Verso: @FatboyRoberts Piggy’s fully down. Crazy Harry would loan me the explosives. If you meh Muppets you have no soul and must be stopped.

Verso: Other smite-worthy (smiteable?) offenses: having a double digit age & liking JarJar, dismissing all animation as juvenile. So say we all.

BigScotty: @FatboyRoberts @verso Statler and Waldorf have sanctioned many hits.

FatboyRoberts: @bigscotty @verso - would we even get a shot if Sweetums was on the scene?

Verso: @FatboyRoberts @bigscotty See? Meh Sweetums. I DARE YOU! I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU MONKEYFIGHTER! #seewhatididthere

Verso: Damn. Now I feel like I have to go start a Tumblr or posterous site called “Smitable Offenses”. Who’d read it?

And since I have this nice little Tumblr set up already, here you go. I’m even taking submissions.
